Recently I became a marketing manager intern at an art gallery. It's been fun and sometimes stressful but I get anxious over a lot of things so I'm still figuring it out. I'm entering my junior year of college in Dowling College and I'm still an honors student. I've been painting and drawing and writing a lot. Well today and yesterday I haven't. Sometimes you just need a break. Still, art is very much a part of me. I still wish I didn't give it up initially. However, I have realized why I gave it up to begin with, but that's personal. I will say, that no matter what, don't give up! Even if there are people who don't believe in you, don't give up! Art is an extremely subjective medium of expression and not everyone is going to like your work. On the flip side, there are many who will love it!
As for upcoming projects, I'm working on a new poetry book complete with illustrations.
Oh yes, the gallery I'm interning in is hosting an open call. I unfortunately, don't know how to upload a photo in the journal section. More details later.

Alright so on deviant art with all the lingo here I'm quite a noob. So what is it about requests? Commissions I understand and I do them on a daily basis. Art trades, I'm in the middle of doing an art trade with someone and I've never done that before. And what's with deviantart points? I heard points is the virtual currency on DA. Do I need to buy them though with *ack* real cash? Or can I just do art work for points?
I'm a bit confused in this whole process so anyone that wants to break this down for me please do so?
With commissions I have a few commissions to do already. So yeah?
Not to mention I still have to catch up on h.w. that I'm currently having my friend Jeremy proofread for me. Okay so can someone explain this all to me?

I am getting rid of my fiverr account since it is in an insult to artist everywhere who use it. I've come to this decision based on the prices of art supplies alone. I feel that advertising my art work on the fiverr web site is a complete rip off towards me and I refuse to work for peanuts.
The second  semester at my school is going great. I'm an honors student and enjoying my art classes the most. More details maybe later...
